Marcus Smart is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Smart played college basketball for the Oklahoma State Cowboys before being drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He has played for the Celtics throughout his NBA career. He initially came off the bench for the Celtics before starting games regularly in 2018 and becoming the starting point guard in 2021. Smart is known for his hustle plays, often diving for loose balls and taking charges.
