Who is Edis?
Edis Görgülü or Edis with his stage name is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter and actor. He was born in London, spent his childhood in Izmir and grew up in Izmir. During his high school and university years, he received music education as well as school education. When he won the Faculty of Communication at Galatasaray University, he settled in Istanbul and immediately tried to communicate with various people to prepare an album, but was unsuccessful. Then he started acting. He took part in the cast of the TV series Listen Dear (2011-2012) and Role of My Life (2012). During these years as an actor, he received an offer from his manager to become a musician.
He rose to fame with the singles he released before releasing his debut studio album Ânı in March 2018. She achieved critical success with her debut single “Benim Ol” in December 2014, and the song reached number two on the MusicTopTR Official List as a hit in Turkey. The singles “Lip” (2016) and “Cok Çok” (2017), which he released afterward, similarly became number two in Turkey, while “Roman” rose to number one. Edis has received many awards so far, including three Radio Boğaziçi Music Awards and four Golden Butterfly Awards.
