Lee Anderson (born 6 January 1967) is a British politician who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashfield since 2019. He has served as an Independent MP since 2024. He was a member of the Conservative Party, from 2018 until his suspension in 2024, when the party whip was removed.
Prior to his parliamentary career, he was a coal miner, and worked for Citizens Advice Bureau, before serving as a Labour Party councillor in Ashfield from 2015. He defected to the Conservative Party in 2018 and served as a Conservative ward councillor in Mansfield from 2019 to 2021, alongside his duties as an MP. Anderson was a deputy chairman of the Conservative Party from February 2023 to January 2024.
